4. Pay it forward - Social Awareness & Self Management

Main aim of the activity:

The main aim is helping to build happy society and show the importance of empathy and gratitude.


Guidelines:

The trainer presents himself and make 3 minutes energizer game:

First letter from your name is... (from a quality or skill or strength that you have)

The trainer will give the participants small colorful post-it and ask them what does HAPPINESS mean. After 5 minutes the post-it will be put on the flipchart/wall/desk and the trainer ask the participants to share the impression/meaning of drawing.


The trainer will explain with simple sentences what this method means.

* The concept of pay it forward whenever you benefit of a good deed, you lead others participate by doing a good deed, instead of repaying the benefactor.

* You don’t necessarily have to pay it forward only to people you know.

* Remember always small act counts.

- In the center of room/class, the trainer put a box which contain 30 cards with different tasks.

- The trainer invites the participants to pick 1 card and do their deeds in 1 week for at least 3 people.

- Each participant must explain to these people to do exactly same deed which he made to them.

- Each participant must take a photo when he does his deed and upload in a google drive opened by trainer. ( Or put the photos in a bulletin board of the class)

- Each Monday they will share how they feel when they did their deeds with their friends.


Target Group: Youngsters 13-30 ages.


Number of Participants: 20-30 people.


Duration: 1-12 months. (Depends on your working area)
